Greers Ferry Fishing Reports
March 1, 2016 Greers Ferry Fishing Report Update
Tuesday, March 01, 2016
COE has sufficiently dropped water levels in order to allow maintenance on the gates. This is good news for the anglers as water levels will stabilize on both the lake and river spurring on the spring bite here on Greers Ferry. Water surface temperatures are ranging from 46-52 degrees depending on time of day and location on reservoir. Water clarity is moderately stained from two thirds of the way up the main tributaries throughout the main lake. Water clears significantly as you progress up through our feeder arms. Water temperatures are significantly cooler in these areas though and very little activity has been seen. For now stick to the dirty water as the bite is much better from the bank out to 25' or so in these locations. Look for your most active bite for select species at the following depths: whites and hybrids 12-20', walleye 2-10', crappies 8-18', bass 0-18'. I Look for our gamefish to really make a push shallower over the coming weeks.
